Stopped in after walking by and seeing the huge pasta dishes other patrons were enjoying. Gigi's has ended up being one of the best Italian meals I have had in Philadelphia.  Everything we ate was better than the next- fresh, flavorful, and huge portions.  The atmosphere was both energetic and fun, like everyone was also discovering a new gem of a restaurant and excited to be there. A new favorite for sure. Casey K. 11/11/16

Best Italian food I have found in the city and certainly the best in Manayunk. Plus it is BYOB so you can either save some money or decide to get extra dessert! Kim A. 10/20/16

Amazing! We usually go to Georgio's on Pine in center city, but I think we have found our new Italian place right down the street from us! Great food, service and relaxed ambience! Rachel K. 10/10/16

Went as a group of 3. The garlic bread to start was very yummy. Had a shared appetizer of the octopus which was great. You could taste the char from the grill, the  prosciutto added a pop of salt and the beans and spinach were great. The octopus was so good - in the future I may just get that with the garlic bread and call it a meal.Main courses were giant and we all thoroughly enjoyed them. I had fusilli, the mushrooms were very flavorful. It was creamy but not heavy.I'm glad this restaurant has come to the neighborhood. A P. 10/9/16

AMAZING doesn't begin to describe my Gigi's experience.  The food is hypnotizing as the blend of spices and sauces explode in your mouth.  We were a large party, 10 of us, and every dish tasted was as good as the next. The fragrance of garlic and herbs from the kitchen is captivating.  The restaurant is small which adds to the ambiance taking you back in time to grandma's kitchen for Sunday dinner. The owners, Craig and Jackie are so warm and welcoming you immediately feel like part of the family.  Thank you Gigi Italian Bistro for good food, good company and good times.  This is one of my favorite restaurants. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday on the 1st and we are going back tomorrow the 6th. So obviously yes we loved loved loved it. First make a reservation. If you don't make sure you have a plan B. We watched at least 3 parties turn around because they didn't have one. Our waitress Carolina was sweet and she remembered me when I called to make our 2nd reservation!Small but cute very mom & pop shop! The table set up reminded me of Charlie was a sinner, tables are closer than usual for parties of two. Let's talk foodBread is to die as you can see in the pictures it is topped with garlic; had to do my best not to fill up on it. We had mussels in the long sauce the perfect mix of basil and garlic yum yum yum I had the shrimp and pesto and my boyfriend had Chicken Marsala. Both delicious! We are so excited we found a Italian place thank you Gigi's for coming to Manayunk! Florence W. 10/5/16

Italian food the way it should be. Manayunk needed a new Italian place and Gigi's is doing a great job serving that need. Every part of the meal, from the garlic bread to the entrees, was impressive. The location is perfect and the restaurant is spotless.I'd highly reccommend this restaurant to anyone in or around Philly who wants a great Italian meal. Jake M. from Ridgefield, CT 9/24/16

Last evening I had the best steak on Main Street in Manayunk! The Saltimbocca 12oz New York Strip!! I have been eating on Main Street for over a decade and this steak was absolutely Devine! Thanks Chef Craig!!  Steve G. 9/3/16

Completely amazing! Loved the food, the staff, the dining room et al! Went out of their way to make room for us even though we were the worst and didn't make a reservation. The pizza was to die for, the pasta was amazing--and that sauce?!?! I can assure you--we Will be back regularly. Thank you for brightening up our Main Street, Gigi's!!!  Emmalee E. 8/28/16

I made dinner plans to meet a friend at Gigi's last night for dinner. I've heard great things, I've been really excited to try it out. Gigi's not only met my expectations, but they blew them out of the water. The hype is real. Let's start with the atmosphere. It's very cozy and romantic. There's a long bench along the left wall with pillows. The left wall also has a lot of family pictures that are a nice touch. On the right wall there are plants. The red accent wall creates a warm feeling. This is definitely a great date or girls night out spot. Not to mention its byo.... I mean come on! So, onto the food. They have so many pasta options it's amazing. It's a pasta lover's dream. They also have pizza and salads. I went with the salmon carbonara penne pasta. The salmon was in chunks throughout. The sauce was creamy and very flavorful. The peas added a refreshing touch. They helped cut the heaviness to the dish. The fresh Parmesan on top was the cherry on top of the cake.  My friend ordered a pizza (can't remember which one because I was too focused on my own dish). The crust was perfectly thin. There were plenty of toppings. I recommend sharing a pizza because it was a lot for one person. However, sharing is hard when you're a foodie. We decided against dessert because we were so full, but they sounded delicious. I can't wait to come back and try something else!   Kelly C. 8/18/16

Finally an amazing byob on Main Street! My friends and I went a week after they opened and can't wait to go back! We each got an app to share and an entree to try. All of us were completely satisfied with not only the food but the service too! Melissa C. 8/13/16

This is my first time at Gigi and won't be my last!  Chef Wilson's food is amazing.  So much so that I had to refrain myself from trying to lick the last of the tomato sauce off my plate of Linguine With Fra Diaviolo.  Hubby had chicken parm and it was cooked to perfection. Service was very attentive. The decor and design of the restaurant was very welcoming.  It's great to see all those amazing pictures on the wall. The desserts are yummy.  I must go back and try more of the menu!  This is definitely a great place to hang out, have a romantic date and enjoy great food.  I feel so much at home there that I could stay all night.  Love it!   Hope it offers lunch service on weekend soon!
